Data Deletion

1. What you can delete
There are two independent ways to delete data, depending on what you want removed:
- One connected account — disconnect a specific Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or Google Business destination. This deletes the access token and connection we hold for it, but keeps the rest of your Wexl AI account.
- Your entire account — delete your Wexl AI account and all associated data, including every connection, profile, and generated content.
2. Remove one connected account
To remove a connected social or business account and the data we hold for it, do the following in the dashboard:
- Sign in to Wexl AI and open the product where you connected it (for example, Spotlight).
- Open the relevant business profile, then go to Settings → Publishing destinations.
- Find the destination and select Remove.
This takes effect immediately: we delete the stored access token and the connection record for that account from our systems, and we record the removal in our audit log. After this,Wexl AI can no longer access or publish to that account.
3. Delete your entire account
To delete your whole Wexl AI account and all associated data, email us from the address on your account at [email protected] with the subject “Account and data deletion request”. We will verify the request and permanently delete your account, connections, and content. We may retain a limited set of records where the law requires it (for example, invoices), and will tell you if so.
4. Revoke access at the source
Deleting the connection above removes the data Wexl AI holds. As an extra step, you can also revoke our app’s access directly from each platform’s own settings:
- Facebook & Instagram — Facebook Settings → Business Integrations (Instagram is managed through its linked Facebook account).
- LinkedIn — LinkedIn → Permitted Services.
- Google — Google Account → Third-party access.
5. What happens, and when
Disconnecting a single account is immediate — the token and connection are deleted as soon as you select Remove. Full-account deletion requests are actioned promptly after we verify them, and completed within 30 days. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered.
